This will include administration of the Oracle 10g database that is currently approximately 50 gig with a 100 gig physical capacity. Duties will include backup and recovery, performance tuning, system administration and other tasks as they relate to maintaining an Oracle 10g database.

Perhaps more importantly, the ideal candidate will see this as an opportunity to mentor Junior DBAs and share knowledge with the team. Because of this, strong interpersonal skills are a must.

Experience: Required:

Excellent English skills both verbal and written

Minimum of 5 years as an Oracle Production DBA

Oracle on Linux ( SuSE )

Demonstrated practical knowledge of Oracle Administration in a Linux environment

Advanced knowledge of Oracle production DBA tasks ( Oracle 10g )

Oracle RAC ( Real Application Cluster ) Management

Experience in database and system backup and recovery procedures

Demonstrated knowledge of Linux administration

Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking principals

Solid understanding of multi-tiered web architectures

Understanding of application, hardware security and system security issues

BS - Computer Science

Oracle Certification ( OCP )
