Incumbents are responsible for the installation, development, implementation, and customization of hardware and software system elements.
REPRESENTATIVE PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Equipment or software design, engineering and/or development for commercial, medical, military or scientific uses.
Engineering evaluation and/or test of materials (H/W and/or S/W components, products and systems).
Preparation of detailed specifications from which programs will be written, or equipment fabricated or installed.
Application of configuration management procedures for changes to the operating system files and software.
Performance of associated process studies, research investigations and requirements analyses of all aspects of communications and telecommunications system, etc., by applying statistical/analytical and modeling or engineering techniques, procedures and criteria in specialized areas.
Participation in the development and preparation of documentation for, but not limited to, procedural, program and user documentation.
Designs, develops, installs, implements, fine tunes, documents and/or maintains databases, database dictionaries; monitors standards and procedures and integrates systems through database design and administration.
Works with users to ensure successful system implementation; may assist in user training.
Occasionally, may provide guidance and assists in training of less experienced staff.
May research or write portions of technical proposals.
Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge and compiles information into recommendations and analyses.
DB2 TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:
Looking for mid to senior level z/OS DB2 Systems Programmer that are IBM Certified in z/Os or OS/390 with the following skills:
* Has experience trouble shooting and installing DB2 systems in a MVS Sysplex, Data Sharing environment
* Set up z/OS DB2 Distributed Connections
* Trouble Shotting DB2 Connections to CICS, IMS, and TSO
. Has installed DB2 Subsystems
. Has performed an Upgrade to z/Os DB2 Subsystems
* Has experience performing z/OS DB2 Capacity Planning
* Has performed z/OS DB2 Systems Performance & Tuning
* Has experience with z/OS DB2 Systems Trouble Shooting
* Has installed or upgraded 3rd Party products such as Omegamon DB2, and DB2 BMC or CA products.
* Has performed SMP/E Maintenance to DB2 Subsystems/Instances.
* Has experience with Very Large Database Support (#rows per table & overall system throughput)
. Has installed the DB2 Stored Procedures feature in a WLM Environment
. Has installed DDF facility feature
LANGUAGE AND WORK HOURS REQUIREMENTS:
* Candidates will have direct interface with U.S and International clients.
* You must be able to speak and write English.
* Since most of the clients are in the U.S, there is a possibility that employees may get called after hours to resolve client technical problems.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
* Monitor, identify, resolve, and administer service requests, initiate tracking/reporting of maintenance as well as consult management on software and programming changes to the affected systems.
* Assist in migrations and knowledge transfers.
* Regulate software usage and performance as well as ensure software compliance with Company regulations and security standards.
* Coordinate testing, implementation, and installation of new/improved systems and upgrades.
* Attend daily/weekly meetings and interact regularly with management, clients and incumbents to constantly improve Software Programming services.
* Generate requested or required reports for customers and management and respond immediately to any customer complaints.
Education and Typical Years of Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 3-5 years of progressively responsible related technical experience, including 1 year developing large, technically complex systems and 6 months with major responsibility for developing, revising and controlling technical documentation of a complex system.

Programmer Analyst - Developer in Dallas, TX
Develop and maintain Visual Basic 6.0 applications, querying against SQL 2000 servers, and designing reports. Provide analytical and technical support for Digital Phone Operations as required, including analyzing data, performing ad-hoc analysis and data mining. Develop, support and maintain existing in-house databases applications to support process automation within the provisioning and billing system. The focus of the analyst is the implementation of business requirements and the automation of manual processes. The incumbent must be sufficiently knowledgeable of software capabilities to automate and streamline processes and procedures as well as a keen attention to detail.
