Secondary responsibility will be supporting Strategic Web Services and Corba environments.Job Responsibilities & Expectations of Candidate:Primary responsibility will be to focus on non-project related general maintenance, troubleshooting and support activities for existing environments.Tune, test, deploy, patch and maintain Web and Applications Services environments including planning for required capacity and growth.Apply a broad understanding of system environments, databases and utilities in analysing, developing, testing, debugging and implementing modifications to existing systems.Identify and analyze system and application problems. The position is a member of the Sub-Team of 8 people responsible for Web and Application Server Engineering. Primary responsibility will be supporting the Client WebLogic and Apache application Servers. Secondary responsibility will be supporting Strategic Web Services and Corba environments.Required Technical Skills:5-7 years of IT Infrastructure experience in an enterprise environment.2-4 years of WebLogic administration and automation experience in a clustered mode with JMS.Recent JBoss install and configuration experience.Experience installing and configuring WebLogic 9/10 and WebSphere on multiple platforms especially Solaris and LinuxExperience with Apache HTTP Server 2.0.x and 2.2.xExperience with Web Services in and SOA environment.Proficient with Unix shells and Scripting tools such as JACL, Jython and WSADMIN/WLST.Experience working with SSL and certificates.Working knowledge of Unix and networks.Required Non-Technical Skills5 to 7 years IT experience on multiple platforms/technologiesDemonstrated strong problem-solving abilities and multi tasking capabilitiesDemonstrated troubleshooting and analytical ability including analysis of log files and Java dumps.Good interpersonal skills and proven capability to handle multiple situations simultaneouslyProven written and verbal communication and presentation skillsDetailed, highly organized and time efficientDemonstrated ability to complete tasks in a quick paced, fluid environment.Demonstrated ability to work well with Customers at all levels (Leadership and Non-Leadership)Demonstrated ability to work well in a Team environmentAbility to comprehend high levels of complex detailsAbility and willingness to tactfully challenge assumptions, and coordinate skilled Team resources to document and communicate concernsBeneficial but Non-Required Technical Skills:WebSphere administration and automation experience in a clustered mode with JMS.Working knowledge of Identity management systems and JMX.Working knowledge of software build and deployment practices.Working knowledge of queuing and publish subscribe messaging.Working knowledge of Java development tools.Working knowledge with Java, JSP, JavaScript and Internet/component-based developmentExperience with Apache TomcatWorking knowledge of CORBA.
