Graphic Designer- CAD in DALLAS, TX

The Creative Group is looking for a product designer for a temp to hire job that is in Farmers Branch. The client is one of the world’s most recognized and trusted brand names for tools & hardware.

Responsibilities:
• Makes design changes, drawing updates or creation, and creates change notice documentation.
• Develop bill of materials and creates production release drawings using PROE-CAD and/or AutoCad.
• Assists Engineering in determining proper specifications for materials, processes, and finishes
• Project(s) ownership of productivity tasks on existing products and launches of new products.
• Develops ideas and concepts for new products incorporating design for manufacturability.
• Develops layouts and tolerance studies utilizing high level of GD&T for engineering/design information.
• Coordinates translation, transfer, and data verification of CAD data to and from outside vendors.
• Monitors time use and project progress.
• Works with other departments and outside vendors as necessary to produce manufacturable designs and properly standardize product drawings.
• Investigates cost down and/or quality improvement opportunities.

• The candidate will be well organized, enthusiastic, high energy, a team player, and have a strong work ethic
• Proven ability to work with others & cross functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Quality, and Manufacturing)
• Previous general project management experience is a plus.
• Design Versatility – capable of handling design projects of products, fixtures, gages, etc..

Functional Description
