This organization has an immediate opening for a Educational Services Instructor. The responsibilities include providing education services for Business Intelligence solutions by conducting standardized and custom classroom training for various clients, customer's onsite and at Training facilities. In addition, the Education Specialist may provide consulting services, demonstrations and other related tasks required to support software products, our Customer, and Partners.
Key Objectives:
Education consulting including but not limited to full product installation, configuration, and troubleshooting, customization and development of customer specific training both instructor led and e-learning, technical reviews, engagement scoping, training audit and client and project management.
Maintaining and upgrading self-knowledge of the Business Intelligence industry, training techniques, and products/solutions.
Preserving high quality customer relations; promoting additional product sales and professional services.
Mentoring new instructors; adding value to the classroom curriculum through custom demonstrations and advanced topics, and fulfilling administration responsibilities.
Customizing standard training for delivery to specific accounts with a focus on their particular solution.
Knowledge:
. 5+ years of professional experience
. Must have very strong technical skill set.
. Experience in Web/Internet technology, HTML, XML, JAVA, C, VB, JAVA script, and SOAP experience.
. RDBMS technology, UML, (Oracle/DB2/SQL Server)
. SQL experience (ability to read/write SQL required)
. MS Windows OS
. Data warehousing knowledge (Kimball training an advantage).
. Windows (NT, W2K) and UNIX (AIX, SUN, HP-UX) environments
. Data Warehouse / Data Mart design, development, and delivery including ETL (data extract/transform/load) experience- relational/star schema modeling and design
Additional Skills:
. Team leadership skills Both tactical and strategic thinker and implementer
. Solid interpersonal (oral and written) skills
. Related college degree or equivalent experience
. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
. Travel required (50% - 75%, Monday through Friday)
Educational skills:
- Bachelors of Arts; Bachelors of Science REQUIRED (advanced degree a plus!).
