Our client, a major Fortune 500 company is seeking a QA Analyst/Tester to join their team in Dallas, TX.

Job Responsibilities:

Under general direction, debugs complex software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products.

Develops and executes software test plans.

Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.

Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.

Analyzes test results to certify existing functionality and recommends corrective action upon failures.

Designs, codes and executes automated test scripts.

Provides technical consulting on automation issues, tools and processes.

May take part in researching best practices, new tools and technology.

Detailed Description:

The Quality Assurance Software Engineer's tasks will be focused on testing all aspects of a Data Warehouse (Teradata) environment such as data integrity, data transformation and data accuracy.

The QA Software Engineer must be able to learn and understand the complex data flow of the application under test and from this information, create effective and efficient test cases which verify the customer's requirements.

Due to the nature of the Teradata Warehouse, developing and executing SQL statements is a must.

In addition, learning and understanding the Data Warehouse structure will be required.

Heavy emphasis will be placed on building out Data Warehouse test procedures and test suites which can be used from project to project.

Automation will be required were applicable. Currently, no automation is present, thus the QA Software Engineer must have the ability to create an automated test suite.

This includes first determining the automation test tool which best applies to the Data Warehouse needs or by developing an "In House" tool.

Experience: Required Skills:

4-6 years experience as a QA Analyst.

1-3 years experience with Agile Development.

4-6 years experience with Unix and Linux Systems.

1-3 years experience with SQL.

1-3 years experience with Teradata.

1-3 years experience with XML.

Must have experience with Data Warehouse Testing.

Rate: Hourly. $20/hr 4 hrs min per store

Hours: 8 am to 5 pm



Scope: Installation of HP 4250 (one) printer and peripherals.

Technician would need to bring basic tools and follow installation instructions provided. Some stores will have Linksys 16 port switch that would need to be installed in place of their existing 4 port switch. New Switch will need to be mounted to the board. The old switch can be left at the location.

In every case, the installer will need to install the printer and the tray, hook up the print server, place paper in each tray, and then call our support line for testing.

(All equipment will be shipped to the location prior to the install)

    . Engineers enterprise and departmental applications using web-based technologies including .NET and SharePoint
    . Analyzes escalated problems, develops and implements solutions.
    . Debugs, creates and executes test scripts and reports the results.
    . Analyzes services level exceptions and identifies trends, determines root cause, and resolves.
    . Defines quality standards based on statistical data.
    . Codes and configures diverse and complex programs from technical specifications.
    . Documents specifications, including job flows and data flows.
    . Adheres to all IT guiding principles, processes, policies, standards and procedures.
    . Demonstrates integrity without compromise, respect, commitment to excellence, collaboration, agility, and values diversity--every day with every team member.
    . May be required to lead small to medium sized initiatives to develop new applications.

    Education/Experience:
    . Bachelors Degree or equivalent plus 3-5 years of software development work experience desired
    . Five to eight years of progressive broad-based information technology and business experience is preferred with at least 2 years experience in SharePoint.


    Experience: Core Competencies:
    . Mastery of Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server, Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services
    . Experience with developing and implementing WebParts
    . Prefer experience with web development C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Javascript and Microsoft tools including ASP and IIS
    . SharePoint Designer, and Visual Studio 2005
    . Familiarity with relational databases and stored procedures - SQL Server
    . Knowledge of CSS, XML, VB and ADO.NET
