The Help Desk Specialist position is the initial contact point for all end-users computer and technology support. Systems Administrator in Dallas, TX

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting Client&#146;s Windows 2003 server farm and corporate database and business systems.
Client has over 50 locations in Texas and Arkansas linked by a fully managed Verizon WAN (Frame/MPLS). Critical business servers are housed in a Class A data center facility in Richardson, TX. The environment is primarily Windows 2003 Server running on Dell PowerEdge hardware. Key business applications run on SQL Server 2000 and Oracle 9i databases. The IT Dept supports over 250 in-house and remote clients running Windows XP.

This position will require occasional travel within DFW and to Houston and Little Rock. On-call support and an early shift rotation are in effect.


Duties

Server builds, backups, restores and upgrades
Monitor server logs and health on daily basis
Manage and develop 10 server Citrix farm (Presentation Server 3 & 4)
Perform DBA functions on Oracle 9i and SQL Server 2000 databases including backups, performance tuning, restores
Manage and maintain Exchange 2003 server
