Web Services System Engineer in Dallas, TX

CDI has an exciting opportunity waiting for you! We are looking for exceptional people! We have an immediate need for a Web Services System Engineer.

Primary responsibility will be to focus on non-project related general maintenance, troubleshooting and support activities for existing environments, especially Corba environments.
Tune, test, deploy, patch and maintain Web and Applications Services environments including planning for required capacity and growth.
Apply a broad understanding of system environments, databases and utilities in analyzing, developing, testing, debugging and implementing modifications to existing systems.
Identify and analyze system and application problems. Determine solutions; develop, test and implement fixes.

Required Skills
5-7 years of IT Infrastructure experience in an enterprise environment.
Working knowledge of Corba, 2 to 4 years of Corba administration and automation experience in a high availability environment strongly desired.
Experience building Apache 2.x from source strongly desired.
Experience with Web Services in and SOA environment.
Proficient with UNIX shells and scripting tools such as JACL, Jython and WSADMIN.
Experience working with SSL and certificates.
Working knowledge of UNIX and networks.
2 to 4 years of Web Sphere administration and automation experience in a high availability environment. (Will waive some Web Services exp for Corba.)

The voice services technician will be responsible for the administration, installation and maintenance of Lucent/Avaya telephone and voice messaging systems. Provides rotating 24 hour on call support to internal customers on all telecom equipment failures while taking direct control and responsibility for service restoration. Provides detailed site surveys and coordination of all vendors and internal management to insure project implementation is completed on time and within budget. Represents the telecom group as the lead contact pertaining to telecom activities at technical meetings as well as external airport technical meetings. Performs shipping and receiving of equipment. Job Description:
This position will involve participation on an application development Team working on Baseline profile projects. It will involve supporting baseline applications on both to core functionality. It will be approximately 60% support requirements and 40% development activities. On-call support is shared across the Team and is required approximately 2 weeks every other month.

Required Skills
Minimum 5 years Application development experience
3-5 years Java Development
3-5 years OOA & D
3-5 years Natural Adabas experience within MVS CICS with TSO and JCL
Experience with EntireX including ACI and RPC calls
Experience with PDF(using Java)
Experience with UML (Class Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, etc)
Experience using Rational Rose, ClearCase, and ClearQuest
Integrated Development Environment - Eclipse, WSAD
XML, LDAP

A minimum of 5-7 years IT experience on multiple platforms / technologies
Demonstrated success and strong experience with problem-solving abilities
Strong verbal communication skills
Experience with the complete SDLC
Strong written communication skills
Project Management

Nice to have: Unix or Linux, Airline industry experience

- CCNP Certification.
