Provides functional and technical expertise to formulate information security services scope and objectives develops and/or modifies procedures to solve problems. Assignments are in technical and business functional areas.
The incumbent also needs to possess an expertise in vulnerability scanning and penetration testing experience.Some knowledge in coding is a big plus.
Primary Responsibilities & Objectives:
Provides functional and specific technical expertise to formulate advanced project scope and objectives; develops and modifies procedures to address information security services issues/problems.

Performs comprehensive analyses of existing solutions to incorporate requested enhancements.
Performs reviews/analyses of requested changes for equipment, technology and/or other factors/trends, which may impact existing solution consistent with solution modifications.
Consults with hardware, communications, database experts and /or vendors to ensure system viability.
Performs advanced system design functions, including interpretive analyses, chart preparation and associated diagrams/enhancement plans.
Prepares/conducts the most advanced acceptance test plans and confirms accompanying results, including the development and interpretation of data sampling plans.
Ensures applicable documentation is updated according to client/ACS standards; may assist in user training.
Participates in marketing presentations where solution requires functional/technical input; assists in research efforts and/or provide input to proposals.
Stays abreast of developments in field of expertise to ensure knowledge base remains current.
Routinely provides guidance to and assists in the training of less experienced staff.
Works under general direction, within the parameters of company policies and procedures.

TxMQ is currently assisting their client in the search for a qualified Systems Engineer for their facility near Buffalo, NY.________________________________________SUMMARY: Responsible for all aspects of Infrastructure services. This includes research, design, test, and deploy technologies being looked at in American Airlines desktop organization. Majority of the focus will be on Microsoft technologies utilizing new products to streamline the desktop infrastructure. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Research, design, deploy, and test Windows 2008 operating system.• Research, design, deploy, and test clustering technologies.• Research, design, deploy, and test System Center Suite (SCOM, DPM, and SCCM).• Design, implement, and support server virtualization using Hyper-V.• Design network printing, directory structures, rights, security, and software on file servers.• Responds to the needs and questions of users concerning their access of resources on the network.• Performs equipment installations and relocation, as required, to support the business needs of the company.• Develops and adheres to network standards.• Provides planning and technical support for company installations.• Provide assistance to other support groups as necessary• Assists in the selection and recommendation of standardized equipment selection.• Stays abreast of new technologies as it applies to business needs.• Performs other duties as assigned.
