Enterprise Messaging Engineer________________________________________TxMQ is currently assisting their client in the search for a qualified Enterprise Messaging Engineer in Texas.________________________________________SUMMARY: This position is responsible for developing strategies and architectures for managing the hiring company's enterprise messaging environments. The successful candidate will direct the integration of the company's Microsoft Exchange 2003 / 2007 environment with SMTP gateways, Email Archiving, 3rd party and Internet Bulk mailing solutions. In addition to messaging technologies, candidates should be knowledgeable of server and storage technologies, such as SAN, NAS, DAS and Fibre Channel (Brocade FC Switches, EMC SAN). Also candidates should have an understanding of integrating the messaging infrastructure with mobile technologies such as Windows Mobile and Blackberry. From this foundation, the position is exposed to many technologies, including but not limited to: SharePoint, SQL Server, IIS and .NET. The successful candidate will develop Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity architectures and strategies for the company's messaging environment. Experience: • 5-8 years experience design messaging solutions for large global corporate environment. • Experience architecting cost effective, efficient solutions that comply with eDiscovery requirements. • Optimizing messaging servers• Excellent understanding and 2- 3 years hands-on experience with Exchange Servers - Exchange 2000, Exchange 2003 - Exchange 2007 is a plus. • Excellent understanding of DNS, DHCP and Domain Controllers. • 4th level support day to day operations and projects for Exchange, Blackberry and Mail Archiving environment. • Solid experience with Active Directory/Group Policies. • Previous experience in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Solutions. • Experience in Installing Blackberry Enterprise Server and maintaining Blackberry Devices, Treo's a plus. • Thorough knowledge of Desktop Operating Systems - Windows NT/2000/XP, including migrations• Working knowledge of DNS, Internet Infrastructure, and IP informational tools • Understanding of SNMP and Syslog • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize several projects and tasks at one time • Experience working with Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Exchange, IIS, and Active Directory • Advanced level knowledge with network services such as DNS, FTP, LDAP, etc. • Knowledge of LAN/WAN concepts and fundamentals (TCP/IP, UDP, routing protocols, etc)• Experience with Windows Operating systems platform on physical and virtual environments using VMware Infrastructure software. • Good knowledge of Windows Registries. • One (1) or more of the following certifications: MCSE,MCSD, or MCT certification. • Understanding of data sources (i.e. SMF, RMF, TMON). • Experience with project planning and root cause analysis. • Experience within a complex technical environment and infrastructure management. • 6 or more years of experience across multiple platforms as a systems administrator, capacity planner, network engineer or infrastructure architect. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required, an advanced degree preferred.
