THE POSITION:

Microsoft Developer (.NET, SQL Server)

This position is for a permanent senior level Microsoft-based developer with strong skills in .NET and SQL Server development. The focus of this position is Web-based development and Enterprise Application Integration. This position is within our clients Projects Organization. The position will be involved in project work within the IS Department. The Projects Organization is tasked with implementing software solutions for the business. The role will include involvement the full software lifecycle from the vantage point of a senior developer. This position will report to the Development Manager for the Projects Organization.

Principal responsibilities include:

Design and development for custom developed applications and integration using .NET, Classic ASP, and SQL Server
Effective evaluation of project scope by providing detailed development estimates and solution recommendations
Consistent application of appropriate development methodologies to projects
Facilitation and continuation of the advancement of software processes, standards and methodology
Collaboration with business and business analysis teams to develop business and system requirements and design
Collaboration with team members to develop user interface and design documents
Participation in the full software lifecycle including analysis, design, development and testing
Work with other application support teams to facilitate development of integrated system enhancements
There may be the opportunity to learn SAP-related skills (XI, ABAP, etc.)
Travel up to 10% may be required

THE INDIVIDUAL:
The individual should have an undergraduate degree.

Qualifications include:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a software developer
Minimum of 3 years of experience with Microsoft development tools (Visual Studio, .NET and SQL Server)
