GoTechNow is looking for that Oracle professional that wants to continue to develop and grow as an IT professional. As a key member of the Information Technology team, the Systems Administrator will perform new system and network implementations, while providing technical support for these new and existing systems/networks. As a key member of the Information Technology team, the Systems Administrator will perform new system and network implementations, while providing technical support for these new and existing systems/networks. GoTechNow is looking for that Oracle professional that wants to continue to develop and grow as an IT professional. This unique opportunity will allow an Oracle production DBA to continue managing a RAC environment while developing their skills as a development DBA. Eventually they will be involved with Data Warehousing and building out a production / testing environment. The environment is SuSE Linux.
Initially, you will be involved with managing a brand new RAC deployment. This will include administration of the Oracle 10g database that is currently approximately 50 gig with a 100 gig physical capacity. Duties will include backup and recovery, performance tuning, system administration and other tasks as they relate to maintaining an Oracle 10g database.
Perhaps more importantly, the ideal candidate will see this as an opportunity to mentor Junior DBAs and share knowledge with the team. Because of this, strong interpersonal skills are a must.
