Senior Network Engineer in Dallas, TX

Job Purpose: To assess, design, integrate, and carryout the LAN/WAN network for computer network communications, by assessing, determining applications, and transmission design to carrying out all computerization throughout the organization in business, operations, broadcasting production, and transmission network operations and network control. Major Duties and Responsibilities: 1) Work collaboratively with Broadcast, RF, and Business Engineers to create an integrated design for the organization-wide computer network. 2) Evaluate needs and objectives such as network agility, network channels needed, reducing production costs, extending audience reach, standardize file, signal and other related formats, and complying with regional legislation. 3) Include in design integration of all technology components, including custom networking kit, hardware, and software so that network successfully supports corporate operations, as well as any legacy integration issues. 4) Analyze issues and needs for client/server, communications/connectivity, security, and volumetric data analysis. 5) Review and support appropriate transmission topology for planned transmission network, and design support for network automation systems that are involved. 6) Design and evaluate a logical representation for LAN/WAN that includes all components for central and remote sites, other services including state-of-the-art technologies such as WI-FI, VoIP, and ability to expand network to include new technology developments. 7) Include network management capabilities including hardware, software, and components to ensure that the network supports all organizational operations. 8) Provide a comprehensive training package to ensure that network operations, automation, and maintenance are successfully carried out. 9) Deliver high quality documentation, plans and implementation strategy to effectively communicate and support the LAN/WAN network for project. <br/><br/>All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience: Skills/Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Technology, Networking Engineering, or related technical discipline. At least 5 to 10 years combined computer networking experience in evaluating and implementing complex LAN/WAN networks in large, multi-site organizations. Experience with integrating high-level computer networks design for broadcasting networks or other related fields that include broadcasting transmission, satellite, automation technologies, and other complex delivery technologies. Experience with successfully integrating legacy computer technologies, and broadcasting analog technologies into new LAN/WAN architecture.
