IT Asset Mgmt. Specialist in Dallas, TX

Position title: IT Asset Management Specialist
Department: Asset Management
Location: JCPenney Home Office, Plano, Texas

Responsibilities:

1. Asset Management Liaison between Home Office/field departments and IT.
2. Develop and Enhance processes for Asset Management.
a. Develop processes and documentation as needed.
b. Identifies and recommends changes to procedures
c. Develop budgets for the assigned areas.
3. Maintain documentation.
a. Updating Hardware/Software Requests in the pool and document progress.
b. Updating asset management database as needed.
4. Understand the lifecycles of hardware and their upgrade timeframes.
5. Coordinate with the various IT Development groups on software requests.
6. Maintain Inventory for the designated departments.
a. Tracking Requests
b. Following IT Policies and Procedures.
c. Physically inventorying all hardware/software assets when needed.
d. Ensuring data integrity.
e. Deploying all necessary assets within specified service agreements.
7. Supply outstanding customer service to end users.
8. Understand IT Policies and Procedures.
9. In general, implement the daily processes of Asset Management.
10. Participates in training related to installation, operating and recovery procedures.

Qualifications:

1. The job requires a self starter who can function fully autonomously in their job.
2. Good written and verbal communications skills are a requirement, since the job will require frequent communication with associates in many departments and at many different technical levels.
3. Have a base knowledge of Hardware/Software approved by IT.
4. Be familiar with Operating Systems supported by IT.
5. Must be a team player.
6. Associate must be able to lift up to 75lbs.

Knowledge skills:
Education: College Degree preferred, Comparable Work Experience acceptable.
Experience:
1. Proven ability to design and document processes and procedures.
2. Several years of experience with Windows platforms.
3. Understanding best practices of Asset Management.
4. Knowledge of Crystal reports.
5. Knowledge of Peregrine Asset Center.
