EDUCATION:
Bachelor degree or equivalent, Masters degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
. Minimum 8 years related experience
. 3+ years experience in J2SE related technologies (Java, JMS, Concurrency & JMX)
. 3+ years experience in XML and related technologies (XML, binding, Schema, etc.)
. 1+ years experience implementing Service Oriented Architecture using Web Services and related standards (SOAP, WSDL, WS-I, etc.)
. 2+ years in any flair of UNIX
. Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
. Ability to lead and direct multiple projects simultaneously
. Ability to delegate work to subordinate or less experienced team members
. Proven leadership ability
DESCRIPTION:
The successful person develops, codes, tests and debugs new highly complex software solutions or enhancements to existing software in a maintenance capacity. Recognized as technical expert by internal and external peers. Provides direction for entire project or a project team. Applies advanced skills and concepts to oversee large, complex projects. May assist in training less experienced software development staff. Has excellent understanding of business application. Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them. Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. May assist in development of software technical documentation. Demonstrates software. Demonstrates broad knowledge of technical solutions. Designs and codes complex applications using advanced technology; May create optimization programs to resolve problems; May design and build prototype applications; May oversee product development. Leads design and coding of applications using routine and/or advanced technology. May create optimization programs to resolve problems; May design and build prototype applications; May oversee product development.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of design and construction of large scale integration systems using Java, J2SE, and XML and implementing complex technology in a global and heterogeneous environment.
