JOB DESCRIPTION
Looking for a Windows Server Administrator with a focus on OS installation and configuration In Dallas
Must have extensive experience building and supporting boot from SAN servers.
Platforms:
- IBM xSeries Hardware (blade centers, x3650, x3850)
- Windows Server 2008 (Enterprise and Standard)
- Windows Server 2003 (Enterprise and Standard)
- VMWare ESX Server
- Windows Clustering
Skills
- Server OS installation and configuration
- Server OS support and problem resolution
- Experience with SAN attached servers and client side management of the storage
- Implementing Windows Server Security
- Installing Windows security patches
- Perform or assist with software installation
- Proven ability to resolve problems in a timely and proactive manner.
- Proven ability to interact with Customers aIBM
in a positive, results oriented, professional fashion.
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Adhere to documented Security policies and practices as well as demonstrated ability to modify Windows settings, registry keys, etc to make the server compliant with a specified setting.
- Knowledge of change management process and experience planning and executing scheduled changes including developing and following written change installation procedures.
- Proven ability to identify and implement automations that support processes for maximum efficiency.
- Experience supporting Production and/or Development and Test environments
- Excellent organization, prioritization skills as well as proactive and energetic approach.
1 year contract
Work Shift: 1st shift
Weekend Coverage: Weekend coverage is required.
On Call: Needs to be on-call
Years Experience: 6+
Travel Required: Travel is not required.
