May perform one or more of the following:
Perform development tasks as required to support maintenance and enhancements of existing applications, as well as development of new applications. Lead a small development team in all aspects of database development and application development. Perform SQL tuning as required to improve application performance. Primary database environment is Oracle. Primary development language is C#.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Development of database objects, to include stored procedures, triggers, functions, etc.
Logical and physical database design
SQL tuning to address performance issues Writing or troubleshooting applications in C# Troubleshooting operational database problems
TECHNICAL SKILLS :
At least 5 yrs database development in a Oracle 8 + environment, with significant experience in Oracle 10g + Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work closely with IT, development, QA and customer satisfaction teams to provide world-class service and support to our clients Experienced in analysis of business requirements; ability to translate business requirements to functional and data requirements Requires a working knowledge of Oracle 8 and higher, PL-SQL, writing stored procedures, creating views, defining triggers, application tuning Requires 2 or more years development in one of the following: C#, Java, or C++. Development will be in C#. Candidates must be willing to learn if prior experience was in Java or C++ Candidate must have proven leadership and mentoring skills.
