IT Help Desk Specialist - in Dallas, TX

Stable Publishing Company in the DFW area is currently seeking an experienced IT Help Desk Specialist to join their Information Technology team. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to providing day to day telephone support to end users in order to resolve a variety of technology problems, handling incidents regarding PC/Mac hardware/software applications, PC/Mac operating systems as well as setting up configuring PC/Mac workstations and related equipment along with any other technology issues. Must be able to speak clearly as most troubleshooting will be performed via telephone using remote control tools and through conversations with users. Problem resolutions and knowledge of Help Desk Ticket System will be a key part of this position. Assistance with installation, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading Windows XP PCs, Mac OS X (9.x and 10.1 through 10.5) workstations and peripherals as well as providing network and server support as time allows. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years IT Help Desk experience, EXTENSIVE experience with both Macintosh OS X desktop and Windows XP software. Basic knowledge of Macintosh OS X Server, Windows Server 2003 and Linux or Unix is a plus. The position is M-F 8 to 5:30 with weekends off. Position offers 100% Medical, Dental and Vision!
