Our client is currently interviewing qualified candidates for a McKesson Horizon Laboratory Implementation opportunity in the U.S. The McKesson Specialist will be responsible for implementation of tools and methodologies under the direction of our client’s Clinical Program Manager. This person will be responsible for defining requirements, and translating operational clinic needs into functional requirements. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in a clinical lab or IT setting, with past experience including implementation and support of McKesson Laboratory Systems (HLAB / STAR Lab). Candidates with Hospital Lab Management, Crystal Reports, DI Server, and Lab Link highly preferred! Only candidates with a Medical Technologist Certification or Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology will be considered for this opportunity!
The ideal candidate can live anywhere within the contiguous 48 states, and be able to travel to client locations throughout the United States 75% of the time, while working from home 25% of the time.

Experience: Required Skills:
3-5 years experience in a clinical lab or IT setting
Medical Technology or equivalent experience in an acute healthcare setting
Previous experience implementing and/or supporting McKesson laboratory systems (HLAB/STAR Lab).
Strong communication skills: both verbal and written
Excellent analytical and problem solving ability
Project management experience
Education Requirement:
Medical Technologist Certification
Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology preferred
Desired Skills:
Hospital Lab management experience
MS software experience
PMP Certification
Proficient with writing Crystal Reports
Proficient with DI Server and Lab Link
