RHI has been retained by a Publishing company in the DFW area who is currently seeking a Director of Java Development/Architecture. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning, architecture, development, and deployment of Java software products.
The Environment
Hosted SaaS Environment: CSS, XML, HTML, Flash, Flex, JavaScript, AJAX, and other UI technologies and techniques, Java App development with Spring, Hibernate, Hession, etc., Linux servers running Apache, and Servlet Container server such as Resin, Tomcat or other and Version Control with Subversion.
Prinergy environment: Kodak Prinergy software, Windows servers and SQL Server
Account Management, Product Catalogs, Product Configuration, Shopping Carts and Web Stores, Usage Analytics, SEO
Experience: MUST POSSESS JAVA ARCHITECTURE EXPERIENCE and MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE!! <p>
** Experience managing 3.5+ million dollar budget.
** 5+ years of experience as a hands-on Java Architect (including debugging, version upgrades and enhancements) in an eCommerce environment.
** Must possess 3+ years of management experience – including experience managing a high performance development team of product managers, designers, software engineers, and QA staff.
** Must have experience with Java in a Linux environment.
** Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Creative, and IT to identify requirements and drive the functional design.
** Knowledge of application development lifecycle tools such as feature and bug tracking, build/version control, and automated test.
** Ability to work in an unstructured, fast-paced environment.
** Ability to collaborate with eCommerce engineering team to develop common technologies and shared services.
