We have a Full time opening for an Oracle Developer to do programming and provide leadership for a major development and implementation effort. You will be responsible for the analysis, design, programming, testing, debugging and modifications of local, network or Internet-related computer programs as well as providing leadership for software development projects of moderate size. This includes planning and tracking development activities and resource utilization. Apply your knowledge of software engineering and test practices toward the quality improvement of Oracle Retek applications. Assist with the definition of product requirements and creation of design documentation leading to the coding and testing of software applications. Review the development artifacts from other project members for quality characteristics and adherence to development standards and the corporate methodology and lead the effort to help create new feature documentation suitable for use by Retek customer and internal sales, marketing, training and support departments. Will also review existing programs or formulate logic for new systems using structures programming or Object Oriented Analysis and design techniques and participate in estimating future development efforts for impact on base applications. 5+ years of significant development experience with Oracle PL.SQL and Pro*C is required, along with strong experience with database systems, secure data transfer, structured programming, and SQL. A strong preference for experience with some of the following languages, databases and tools: Oracle, Oracle Developer 2000, C, C++, Unix, Windows, MicroStrategy, Client Server development, Java and TOAD. A working knowledge of Oracle ReSA understanding of the principles of the Retail industry is needed. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills are needed. The ability to prioritize assignments and work under limited supervision is a must. The demonstrated ability to research and solve issues and to deliver results in a high-energy, fast-paced environment is essential.
