Robert Half Technology, the world's leader in technology staffing, is currently seeking a SQL Database Developer for an immediate opening with a Fortune 500 client located in Downtown Dallas, TX.. In this contract to hire role, the candidate will be responsible for all aspects of database creation, maintenance, and ongoing upgrades. Primary Functions: -Works with analysts, clients and testers to fully understand requirements and business processes. -Incorporates project design standards in all work products. -Enhances existing code, production support changes, and new development, as assigned. -Identifies and develops background processes necessary to provide support for interfaces with other systems. -Provides technical leadership to less experienced developers. This developer will be working on a large data-warehouse project involving 100+ databases. The tools primarily used is Microsoft solutions including MS SQL Server 2005, MS SQL Server Integration Services, MS SQL Server Analysis Services for building Cubes and MS SQL Server Reporting Services for the front end reporting.

Experience: EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS: 'BS, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. JOB-RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: Required Experience: -5 + years - Experience working with SQL Server, or Sybase or Oracle Database. -5 + years - Experience developing Stored Procedures, Functions and Optimization of SQL queries. Utilized heavy Transact SQL/PL SQL. -3 + years - Experience working with projects analyzing large amounts of transactional data and provided quick turn around with summarized analytical reports. -5 + years - Experience with and thorough knowledge of full life cycle software development . -5 +years - Experience working in the UNIX and Microsoft environments. -Ability to work with other developers, database administrators, testers and analysts in resolving issues and identifying and correcting problems. -Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to communicate technical issues, understand business and process requirements, and provide interactive demonstrations of windows and processes to client groups and team members.
