Network Security Admin in dallas, TX

Robert Half Technology, the world's leader in technology staffing, is currently seeking a Network Security Admin. On a day to day basis, the candidate will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of the system security for a variety of systems, applications and data, allows proper access to network resources as directed by the Data Center Manager, allows proper access to data and applications as directed by data and application owners and provides technical support to Network Administrator I. Candidate also creates, manages and deletes network and email accounts on a daily basis; applies permissions to home directories and all data folders and files stored on the network; creates, manages and deletes accounts in designated applications, including synchronizing passwords across different applications; sends security policy information to new users; when specifically directed, performs confidential review of mailbox content to help attorneys and management search for key information; updates documentation in security manual. Maintains security checklists; updates security policies; performs regular audits and reviews of staff, system, and application compliance with current policies, standards and procedures. This is an ongoing opportunity.

Experience: In order to qualify for this position a candidate must have Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for degree requirement; 4+ experience creating and maintaining user and group security for a variety of systems; must have experience working with Windows desktop and/or server Operating systems, Microsoft Exchange 2000 or higher, and Active Directory; must have experience or education in security principles, event analysis, and incident investigation; good communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with staff and attorneys on a regular basis; strong organizational skills to maintain accounts and account changes; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
