Business Analyst – Hedge Fund The position is a Business Analyst role with a prestigious multi-billion dollar hedge fund here in Dallas. The hedge fund manages approximately $10 billion + in assets using a global, multi-strategy approach to market-neutral investing. The firm employs over 300 individuals in five offices around the world: Dallas, New York, London, Tokyo and Hong Kong. Requirements: Degree in Accounting, Finance or MIS; experience with a top tier consulting firm (Big 4 consulting, Accenture, etc.); excellent communication skills The $10 billion + hedge fund is looking for extraordinary business analysts to join their System Development team in Dallas. Successful candidates have a demonstrated track record of educational, professional, and personal achievement. He or she has an undergraduate or graduate degree in MIS, Finance or Accounting from a top-tier university and experience working with system or business process design. Financial experience is not a prerequisite, but an interest in the application of technology to investment management is a must. Candidates should also have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of the difference between working smart and working hard. The System Development group is organized into small teams with independent prioritization and release schedules. Business Analysts at this hedge fund work directly with end users in a fast-paced, rewarding environment where technology makes an immediate impact. Groups have the autonomy of small teams but the support structure of a larger development organization including automated nightly builds, automated regression testing, etc. They value excellent analytical skills and innovative problem solving approaches.
