Our client has an immediate opening for a JD Edwards Business Analyst to join the Information Systems team. Supply Chain industry business knowledge experience and/or accounting (General Ledger) environment is a Plus! You should have 2 + years experience with JDE World, the ability to work well within a team environment, and enjoy working with end users.
The Hiring Manager is looking for someone with common sense, a person who knows business and can see the "big picture", and who also has project management skills.
In this role, you will plan and direct the analysis of complex business problems to be solved with JD Edwards systems on the prioritized and approved IS projects. You will provide business and technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing JD Edwards systems and procedures that are cost-effective and meet user requirements. You will also provide support as needed in the JD Edwards Support Queue, JD Edwards Custom Configuration, and JD Edwards Programming Tools.
Although this is a functional position, it requires an individual who knows the JDE World files and file structures; WorldWriter Experience is a big PLUS!
You must have Project Implementation experience with the JD Edwards modules as an analyst and in providing continued support after production implementation.
Additionally, you will be responsible to design, develop, and implement new or enhanced business processes in support of enhanced information systems and technology. You will provide business expertise in support of business process changes for information systems projects. You will identify opportunities for business process improvement and initiate projects to make improvements with or without deploying information technology.
Technology Skills Required:
-- Analyze current business processes, suggest improvements and participates in design of new business processes and systems
-- Conduct business systems analysis and design, data-modeling, process flow modeling, and process reengineering
-- Analyze business processes and review existing information systems
-- Perform user interviews; analyze process flows, identify opportunities for improvement
-- Map existing business processes; document existing business processes and business rules
-- Review new systems designs and functions
-- Design system modifications and designs interfaces to other systems
-- Identify data, interfaces, and tests requirements.
-- Design and execute systems tests and acceptance test scripts and procedures
-- Help to ensure referential integrity of the data model
Minimum Experience:
-- 5+ years of Information Technology
-- 2+ years experience with ERP systems, JD Edwards
-- 2+ years RDMS, relational database concepts
-- Perform duties described above with business processes (e.g. Accounting, General Ledger, A/P, A/R, etc.).
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or Business Administration, Computer Sciences, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
