A senior-level professional, the Service Center Architect is competent to work on complex projects and applies an in-depth knowledge of Peregrine products (SERVICECENTER, AssetCenter and other Peregrine system modules), engineering automation concepts, practices and procedures. The incumbent regularly works under deadlines and is capable of handling extreme workloads. The Service Center Architect may act independently, operating with only general direction; errors at this level may cause significant disruption and/or major cost. Incumbents may provide guidance to and assist in training less experienced staff. Incumbents are responsible for the design, installation, development, implementation, and customization of Peregrine related hardware and software system elements.
REPRESENTATIVE PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Software design, engineering and/or development for commercial uses.
Engineering evaluation and/or test (H/W and/or S/W components, products and systems).
Preparation of detailed specifications, based on interactive ACS Client/ACS internal user communications, from which programs will be written.
Application of configuration management procedures for changes to systems, files and their software.
Participation in the development and preparation of documentation for but not limited to, procedural, program and user documentation.
Designs, develops, installs, implements, fine tunes, documents and/or maintains databases, database dictionaries; monitors standards and procedures and integrates systems through database design and administration.
Works with users to ensure successful system implementation; may assist in user training.
May provide guidance and assists in training of less experienced staff.
May research or write portions of technical proposals.
Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge and compiles information into recommendations and analyses.
Education and Typical Years of Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5-7 years of progressively responsible related technical experience, including 3 years developing large, technically complex systems.
