1+ year-long project! Could run up to 5-year project!Responsibilities:Provide SQL Server database standardization, change and security management, and password management. Will also perform back-up monitoring by setting up monitoring tools, monthly backup metrics and reports. Will control job scheduling, check alert logs, and perform patch management and scans. Will train others DBAs as necessary. Pay rate: up to $50/hr incorporated
Experience: Requirements:o 4+ years as an SQL Server production/physical DBA o Experience installing, upgrading (patching) and supporting SQL Sever 2000/2005 o Experience in supporting complex configurations accessing SQL Server o Experience with Windows 2000/2003 for SQL Server o Experience setting up SQL Server database backups and performing database restores required; RMAN skills required. o Experience working with Legato or comparable backup software is a plus o Ability to do performance tuning using native SQL Server toolso Must have excellent scripting skillso Must have strong self-motivation and communication skills, be able to follow design elements, solution and implement a physical database environment o Able to handle stress in complex situationso Require strong project management skills o The positions will requires after hours and weekend work to implement the solutions requiredo Good verbal communication skillso Authorized to work in the U.S. o Reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth area
