Cisco Data Architect:
Routing and Switching professionals with data center architecture, implementation and network security experience.
The network infrastructure architect in this position will be assisting in the physical and logical design and implementation of a fully fault tolerant data center that will meet PCI compliance requirements.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the development of the physical design of the network topology.
Develop physical topology diagrams including rack elevation diagrams and cabling documentation.
Assist in the development of the logical design of network components to include layer 2, layer 3. and security services.
Develop logical configuration diagrams illustrating the layer 2 and layer 3 topology.
Perform the logical configuration of network components.
Develop and execute an acceptance test plan that will be used to verify operational status of the network before the network is certified as application services ready.
Perform software review for each of the major network components in the network design.
Skills:
Background in the design and deployment of high available data center network infrastructures that meet PCI compliance
Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
Optimal Edge Routing (OER)
Open Shortest Path First (OSPF)
Cisco Systems Nexus 7000 series platform
Cisco Systems Nexus 5000 series platforms
Cisco Systems 6500 series platforms
Cisco Systems 4948 Catalyst platforms
Cisco Systems Application Control Engine (ACE)
Cisco Systems Firewall Services Module (FWSM)
Cisco Systems Intrusion Protection System (IPS)
Network Acceptance Testing
Activities and deliverables in the network acceptance testing phase will include:
Provide the required engineering resources to assist in the acceptance testing phase.
Document any issues network component related discovered during acceptance testing.
Work with the clients engineering team to correct any issues discovered to include adjusting logical configuration or modifications to design to meet business requirements.
1) CCIE preferred Expert Desired
2) Advanced IP routing (OSPF, BGP) Expert Required
3) Cisco Security (ACE, FWSM & IPS) Expert Required
4) High Availability Data Center/DR Planning, Design Expert Required
5) Cisco 65xx proficiency Expert Required
7) Cisco Nexus 5000/7000 proficiency Expert Required
