Business Support Analyst in Dallas, TX

Our Dallas, TX Client is seeking a Business Support Analyst. This position is direct hire.



POSITION PURPOSE:


As a member of IT Enterprise Solutions & Services, the IT Business Support Analyst is responsible for providing complex system-level support of multi-user operating systems.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:




1. Functional Support

a) Responsible for all aspects of post implementation support.

b) Aid the Help Desk in providing assistance for support including log-in/password issues and security profiles for all users.

c) Work with business users as a second tier resource for functional and technical issues

d) First tier resource for questions concerning the application functionality.

e) Interface with IT when application performance or technical issues need to be addressed.

f) Modification or correction of setup based upon business user request. This will be established in a development instance before migrating to production.

g) Support any additional enhancement as requested by the business users.

h) Responsible for querying data and producing output in a report format (xls, csv, txt, etc) per end user request

i) Plan and lead user group meetings.

j) Aid in broadcast of information to the users in regards to issues and their resolution/timelines.

k) Create documentation library of support issues and applicable resolutions to use as future knowledge center for business users.

l) Responsible for managing help desk ticket reports and monitoring progress and resolution.

2. Training

a) Gather requests from the user community and conduct regular, comprehensive training/re-training sessions.

b) Identify training needs based on deficiencies identified through support requirements.

c) Preparation of all training documents.



EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:


1. Bachelor Degree in IT, MIS, CS or equivalent required.

2. Minimum of 3 years experience utilizing PL/SQL, TOAD, SQL Plus, VB, C Sharp, Shell Scripting required

3. DELPHI experience preferred

4. Ability to manage activities with short due dates and still follow established processes.

5. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and to identify and resolve project issues quickly and effectively.

6. Solid analytical skills.

7. Knowledge of standard Microsoft software applications, i.e. Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint and Visio required.

8. Good team building skills.

9. Effective communicator at all levels of the organization.

10. Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentation.

11. Self motivated, eager to learn and grow.

12. Effective organization and time management skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships and contribute in a team environment. Customer service oriented.
