Sr. Systems Programmer - MQSeries, CICS in Dallas, TX

Responsible for transaction processing software and message-oriented middleware. Perform the installation, customization, testing, implementation and support functions for CICS and MQSeries.

Works independently or as part of a team on projects within the Communications Software group in the areas of responsibility for CICS and MQSeries software.

Taking part in development of software enhancements (exits, APIs, customization of modules, user extensions, etc.) for use in CICS and MQSeries.

Performing vendor product evaluation, installation, customization, testing, implementation and support. Provides RACF administration for messaging and transaction systems.

Provides test coordination and expertise for IS areas and external users of transaction systems. Experience:

A BS degree and 7 years of systems programming experience.

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Must have excellent knowledge of CICS and MQSeries products

Problem resolution and dump analysis including working with vendors

CICS Command Level and MQSeries APIs

CICS and MQSeries internals

Knowledge of IBM BAL (Assembler) is required

Knowledge of programming in C, COBOL, or JAVA is a plus

Knowledge of CICSPlex or MAINVIEW is a plus
