UNIX Administrator in Dallas, TX

Great opportunity for a UNIX Administrator with one of our leading clients. Primary responsibilities will be to interface with the client and technical team to do break/fix analysis, coding and problem resolution. Regular tasks may include: Data Handing, Application validation, Application troubleshooting, Systems troubleshooting, Documentation, Network troubleshooting, Shell Scripting and Database queries. Position requires 3-5 years of UNIX administration skills, strong knowledge of commands, experience with Shell programming and scripting and the ability to monitor and analyze issues with memory/CPU. An understanding of AIX server architecture (Power5) would be a plus but must have sufficient communication skills to interact with AIX SE at a minimum. Position also requires Windows administration skills, SSH, Telnet FTP, and TCP/IP. Application experience on Oracle, Siebel, Java, TIBCO, and Apache Tomcat also needed. Must also possess very good analytical and verbal and written communication skills.
