Linux - Apache Server Administrator in Dallas, TX

This Dallas-Fort Worth company who focuses on a balanced workplace, engaging culture, and family oriented! This client has a need for an experience Senior Linux Administrator. Your primary role will be the Linux Administrator that will design, build, install, upgrade, and maintain multiple Servers utilizing your existing technical experience and knowledge. You will be involved in the system administration, unix shell scripting, troubleshooting, security, and implementing the best practices for the organization.

This position is responsible for the overall Linux/Unix Network planning, development, building, and implementation of the Network environment. Part of your role will be to automate the existing environment to ease the support and maintenance of the server platforms and solve data, database, system, or report problems.

Key Objectives:
. Take ownership and accountability for enterprise Linux servers.
. Monitor and report system performance, availability, and utilization.
. Manage the day-to-day business intelligence environments by processing security requests, scheduling batches, and handling user questions in a timely basis.
. Ensure that information needs and business rules are in compliance with enterprise policies and standards.
. Build a framework for accurately supporting, capturing, sharing, distributing, securing, and leveraging company data resources.

Technical Requirements:
. 5+ years of Linux Network Administration, RedHat v4ES a plus!
. Skilled in multi-site servers, designing/building servers, maintenance, troubleshooting;
. Experienced with WebSphere a must;
. Skilled with shell scripting, backup and security;
. Knowledgeable in MS Active Directory a plus!

Additional Skills:
. Ability to work with other database administrators to complete database designs and models;
. Highly motivated individual with very good analytical skills dedicated to completing tasks on schedule.

Desired Experience
. Experience with relational database technology, SQL Programming;
. Exposure to a Business Intelligence reporting environment, B. I. tools experience a VERY BIG PLUS!

Education:
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Science with a concentration in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent.
