Transition Lead Project Manager in Dallas, TX

Project management of finance & accounting operations outsourcing to domestic and offshore locations. Manages daily operations of one or more project teams engaged in the migration of work to ACS processing centers. Some of the attributes / requirements of this position are noted below:

  • Interacts regularly with ACS and client executive level management regarding project status, issues management, risk management, quality management, etc.
  • Develops and implements project plans for migrations of work. This includes identifying the requirements necessary for a successful migration. These requirements include recruiting, training, technology, facilities, telecom, etc.
  • Assists in due diligence efforts to understand input requirements for client proposals, change orders and creating cost models.
  • Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of project management methodology (concepts, practices and procedures).
  • Experience mentoring project personnel.
  • Serves as a liaison between business analysts, project team members, operations personnel and technology support.
  • Operate independently, work closely with the client, prioritize work to achieve agreed upon milestones and deliverables.
  • Tactical management skills necessary to plan, organize and control daily activities.

    Education and typical years of experience:

    Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

    5+ years of experience in business management.

    5+ years in project management.

    Project management experience in Fortune 1000 or major consulting firm.

    Specific requirements:

    PMP certification recommended.

    Must be proficient with MS Project and all other MS Office Suite applications.

    50-75% travel required (both domestic and international).

    Maturity of judgment under pressure and the ability to resolve problems in a timely, effective manner.

    Strong organizational skills.

    Strong personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to sound ethical, moral and legal business standards and practices.
