Our client is a financial services company located in the greater Dallas, TX area and they are in search of a dynamic and energetic mid-to-Sr. level PHP Web Developer for a 3-month contract-to-hire opportunity. Selected candidate will be coding enterprise level web applications in a 100% LAMP environment, and will also be responsible for mentoring and managing the team resources, as well as organizing projects and tasks on a project-to-project basis.
Experience: Qualified candidates will possess the following skills & experience:
--> 4-7 years of experience doing OO programming using PHP (ideally PHP 5) including experience in a LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL)
--> Ability to design and develop complex business logic application layers
--> Strong understanding of UML - universal modeling language
--> Strong CSS and Javascript skills
--> Working knowledge of SQL including exp. with Database normalization
--> Source control and versioning
--> Implementing and using web services
--> Exp. with Perl, C ++, Java
--> Must be organized with excellent verbal and written documentation skills

--> Experience leading developers on at least a project level basis including resource management, requirements gathering, and mentoring Jr. level developers
--> True web applications GUI
--> AJAX
--> XML
--> Web services
