Unix/Linux Application developer (3 month contract to perm)
The System Developer is principally responsible for the development of a large scale network application layer with a mix of Linux and Solaris Servers used for Deployment. Different flavors of Linux include Redhat 9 and SUSE along with Sun servers run Solaris 10. The developer will be responsible for application design, implementation, support, and management. Maintain development tools such as CVS/SVN repositories, Bugzilla, etc. Develop and maintain test scripts to test deployment automation and other common administrative tasks. Interact with systems admin for installs, and upgrades, along with OS and system requirements. Perform release testing of the tools and software applications. Write inclusive documentation for testing, install, and internal training and support. The Application Developer will function as part of or lead an implementation team on large projects, or individually provides the services on support visits or smaller projects.
Experience: Unix Application Development, scripting, Unix Administration
Core Competency: Unix/Linux/Solaris , DNS/BIND9, DHCP, MySQL, OpenLDAP, FreeRadius, Apache, PHP, Perl scripting.
