Dallas, TX6 monthsThis individual will be working with the Mortgage Fraud Program and have the following responsibilities: Assist with a special project by analysing data Assess mortgage fraud tips to determine if further investigation is needed Work with management and staff to obtain and process reporting requirements Maintain, modify and create Access databases Candidate needs to possess the following skills: Ability to multitask and be organized Strong analytical skills Attention to detail Strong communication skills Experience: Candidates with a mortgage background are required. Mortgage fraud background is a plus. 4 years analytical experience 4 years underwriting experience. Maintain a sound knowledge of Fannie Mae guidelines, DU guidelines, and risk assessment tools used to decision mortgage loans. MS Access and MS Excel knowledge SAS and SQL experience a big plus This individual will support the fraud underwriting group. We'd like to have someone who is technically savvy. Candidates need to have Access skills. SAS would be a big plus as it would allow the contractor to support some other aspects of the team's responsibilities. Candidates must have a processing or underwriting background. We are targeting a candidate with a Bachelor's degree who has had exposure to an analytical environment. This individual will be responsible for investigating 'tips' that a fraudulent loan may have occurred. They will not be responsible for physically reviewing loans but rather information about lenders, loan servicers, etc. They will work heavily in Excel and review and access loans for delinquency , property flipping, and different fraudulent patterns.
