Replication/Open Systems Business Continuity - HDS Storage Level III Consultant - Integration Consultant The Technical Consultant will be responsible for leading customers through the deployment of HDS storage replication technologies including implementation, deployment, customization, and training. Responsible for delivery of storage services according to a statement of work. This responsibility typically spans all layers of IT infrastructure including hardware, software, networking, and applications. HDS Technical Consultants (Business Continuity) deploy local and remote replication, with Scripting, testing, documentation, and customer training. Requirements: 1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to write project status reports, management escalation documentation, and service planning and definition information 2. Strong technical background in the areas of data storage and replication 3. Enterprise storage management 4. Solid operating systems skills with storage configuration (volume management) 5. Able to read, modify and implement scripts (Shell, VBScript, Perl, etc) 6. Knowledge of local storage replication products (HDS-ShadowImage and Copy-on-Write using the GUI and CCI a must; EMC-TimeFinder, HP-Business Continuity, IBM-FlashCopy a plus) 7. Knowledge of remote storage replication products (HDS-Universal Replicator and TrueCopy using the GUI and CCI a must; EMC-SRDF, HP-Continuous Access, IBM-PPRC a plus) 8. 3 years experience working and supporting large enterprises in the areas of storage and storage management 9. Proven ability to provide oversight and leadership to project teams in service delivery 10. Demonstrated ability to guide a complex project from inception through delivery and completion 11. Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including Fibre Channel and TCP/IP 12. Able to create complex functionality using scripts (Shell, VBScript, Perl, etc) 13. Knowledge of advanced storage replication (VSS/VDI integration, VMWare Site Recovery Manager, stretch/geo clustering, advanced application integration) 14. Strong group presentation skills and experience providing training to customers. 15. Self motivated - proven track record of working well independently at customer sites 16. 5 years current experience with the HDS technologies Work location, across the US - 75% and up travel, must be close to major airport Plus Skills include: - Oracle or SQL Database Administration. - Exchange or Notes administration - Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Visio 12 month renewable contract To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
