Sr. Business Analyst in Dallas, TX

The position is responsible for analyzing business needs and/or issues, formulating a solution and driving the solution to fruition via the established software development life cycle (SDLC). In order to be effective, the BA must possess or obtain a comprehensive understanding of the business operations being supported as well as an understanding supporting systems and processes.

. Day to day interaction with Business, IT and Project Management resources
. Present and explain complex technical details to non-technical audience
. Present and explain complex business processes to technical audience
. Draft detailed Business Requirement Documents
. Draft detailed Functional Specifications and supporting documents
. Collaborate with development, architecture and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and direction of a project.
. In conjunction with Project Manager, establish project milestones and tasks
. Track and report project status
. Identify and manage project execution risk



Experience: . Excellent written and verbal communication skills
. Ability to communicate alternative system solutions for complex business needs
. Ability to manage changing priorities and work at a fast pace with excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
. Strong knowledge of the mortgage business and expertise with the technology that supports it is preferred
. Experience/understanding of business process reengineering, business systems development and analysis
. Strong analytical skills and writing skills, including solid experience in writing functional and specifications
. Requires minimal supervision, identifies needs independently and takes responsibility for resolution
. Simultaneously addresses multiple initiatives
. Experience with default mortgage business operations including Foreclosure, Loss Mitigation, Bankruptcy, REO, Claims, Investor Billing, Litigation, is a +
