SQL Database Administrator/Architect in Dallas, TX

Capstone is looking for an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator/Architect with the knowledge of high capacity and load capacity planning for enterprise environments for a 6 month consulting opportunity with our rapidly expanding North Dallas based client. This project is scheduled to begin ASAP.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain all databases for the Product Development team. This includes all development to Production databases.
Monitor activity and resources used for each environment
Architect and evangelize best practices in creating a databases and procedures to make the systems scalable horizontally and vertically.
Work with Product Development teams to aid in design and solutions
Architect database integration plans including Data warehousing
Architect and be able to implement backup plans for each environment
Facilitate all phases of Web project development, including concept and planning, interface design, usability, scalability, and back-end functionality from a database infrastructure perspective.
Restore when necessary from each group and each environment
Troubleshooting and isolation of issues for corrective action; Troubleshoot Microsoft, OS, and SQL issues.
Excellent attention to detail and a highly organized nature
Anticipate problems, spot opportunities, and take a heavily proactive approach to responsibilities
Must be available 365 days a year as necessary to address database issues
Some Travel necessary
Experience:
8+ Years of MS SQL Technologies, must include 6.5, 7, 2000 and 2005
5+ Years of Architectural achievements in scalability and forecast planning
10+ Years actual SQL experience and hands on with heavy transactions (1000+ Concurrent users)
5+ Years of SQL on MS Clustered Environments
Experience with applications and a strong understanding of Microsoft Project, Access, Excel, .NET Framework, ASP, .js, .vb, SOAP-XML, .NET C#, VB.NET, application code is a plus
Oracle experience is a plus
