This position requires 5 years experience in the web hosting arena, with a high level understanding of web applications and their infrastructure. This candidate will need to understand load balancing and clustering methodologies, as well as the practices that deliver highly available web applications. This position require familiarity with Solaris, Windows 2000/2003, Apache 2.x, IIS, PHP and WebLogic Server, and the candidate will need to possess the ability to quickly learn other web-based application tools.
This position requires an understanding of not only the web environment, but the network, security and database environments that the web applications are built around. The candidate will need to be able to make strong technical arguments, while valuing the input of others. The candidate will need to be self motivated and able to work with multiple groups on multiple simultaneous projects.
This role will entail 10% travel and this position is currently located in Dallas but is moving to Westlake by year end.
Experience: Job Qualifications
-5 years experience in the web hosting arena
-High level understanding of web applications and their infrastructure
-High level understanding of load balancing, clustering and other HA methodologies for web applications
-5 years experience with UNIX (preferably Solaris or Linux)
-5 years experience with Windows 2000/2003 and IIS
-3 years experience with Apache Server (recent knowledge of Apache 2.x)
-3 years experience with WebLogic Server
-High level understanding of HTML, PHP, JavaScript, CGI applications and other web languages
-Ability to quickly learn web-based application tools
-High level understanding of not only the web environment, but also the network, security and database environments
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
