Availability Consultant in Dallas, TX

Availability Consultant is responsible for helping clients evaluate & implement strategies/solutions to enhance the availability of clients business. Availability focus is on minimizing downtime, maximizing up-time & providing a higher level of service. Solutions are geared toward keeping systems running, rather than recovering them after an outage. Responsibility to provide clients with a high level, management oriented view of how & where changes can be made to enhance the client's application & infrastructure availability posture. Expected to provide engagement leadership for complex engagements as well as provide consulting thought leadership across the layers of client IT Operations (i.e., strategy and Vision, organization, processes, applications and data, technology, and Facilities). Engagement responsibility will focus primarily on Application & Infrastructure Availability, but may touch other aspects of Business Continuity & Resiliency (e.g., risk management, business continuity, Recoverability & security). Availability Consultant will work w/other business continuity & resiliency Practitioners & clients in all sectors/industries to translate customer business requirements into appropriate solutions. Major Field of Study: Computer Science, IS, MIS field of study. Position requires in-depth knowledge of Complex Engagement Leadership, Analyze Business and IT Requirements, Client Business Resilience High Availability Strategies, Client Business Resilience High Availability Technology, Client Business Resilience High Availability Solution Development, and knowledge/ Experience w/ Internal Recovery Strategies. Consultant will develop transition plans, and facilitate group workshops. Must have IT Consulting Skills and good Written/Verbal communication.
