Robert Half Technology, the world's leader in specialized staffing, is currently seeking is a Visual Basic Programmer to for a Technology client based in Dallas, TX. In this role the candidate will be responsible for software design, development, unit testing, documentation, internal training and support of point of sale software utilizing Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0.

Experience: Required: ? 2+ years development experience with Microsoft Visual Studio / Visual Basic 6.0. ? Working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems including Windows 98, XP and 2000. ? Working knowledge of PC Hardware, Networking and database implementations including ODBC and SQL. ? Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. ? Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. ? Must be Team oriented with the ability to also work independently. Must be self-motivated with ability to multitask. ? Must have good organizational skills. ? Experience with Microsoft Visual C a plus. ? Experience with Pervasive is a plus. ? Retail/Point of Sale experience a plus. ? Accounting background a plus.
