Oracle DBA in Dallas, TX

Join this team of 7 Oracle DBAs.

Our client is moving from Oracle 9i to Oracle 10g.

You should be open to occassional trips, but the position is largely in Houston.

There are two environments you will support: our client's internal environment, and our client's clients. The client's client environments you will be helping to support typically run UNIX - they have very large, complicated databases (1,000+ tables). Our client's internal environment is 75% Oracle and 25% SQL Server, mostly Windows with a little bit of Linux.

Most of your efforts (~75%) will be focused on our client's internal environment. However, occassionally you will consult directly with their clients on DBA issues.

Report to the DBA Manager located in the Dallas office.
Experience:

Excellent English

Bachelors degree

Local to the Houston, TX area ( we cannot consider out of town candidates )

2-3 years Oracle DBA ( Oracle 9i ) on either UNIX or Linux

Solid experience performance tuning the DB as well as SQL tuning

Oracle PL/SQL programming
