SQL DBA/ Analyst in Dallas, TX

Industry leading Non-Profit is looking for a SQL DBA/Analyst with experience in: Analysis, administration and management of databases, database performance, monitoring, tuning and capacity planning in a MS SQL environment. Helps identify data sources, construct data decomposition diagrams and document processes. Design logical data models based upon business requirements. Works closely with departments and vendors to understand business processes and data needs. Primary responsibilities also include the following. • Provide Database Client and User Services • Audit database systems • Implement and manage scalable database solutions • Create and administer corporate database policies and procedures • Evaluate and implement database load management and tuning • Gather and document security requirements • Design, document, and implement security plan • Implement and enforce security requirements • Protect corporate data • Create and administer data reports • Manage processing of large datasets and implementation of data conversion routines • Identify project tasks interdependencies • Participate in database application design review • Develop back and front-end connectivity • Review capacity and functionality of new software and database changes • Identify high-level business rules for data models • Create, refine and distribute conceptual and logical data models • Validate conceptual and logical data models with clients • Administer and enforce standards and best practices • Apply upgrades and fixes and migrate to new versions • Create and administer maintenance plans and regular integrity checks • Create and implement monitoring plan and analyze monitoring data • Maintain physical organization of database objects • Provide technical direction for future data needs • Provide and support development and production environments • Work closely with vendors to ensure proper data transport, reporting, and integrity • Work closely with accounting department to insure reporting accuracy • Create and administer disaster recovery plan • Plan and manage physical resource requirements and enhancements • Create, verify, and manage disk and tape backup and recovery activities • Maintain database related software licensing agreements All qualified candidates please contact: Shelby Mohnke at 214-468-9191 or Experience: •Design, development, and administration of SQL Databases. •Ability to implement SQL data transfer methods including log shipping and DTS packaging •Hands on experience in data modeling and database design •Experience with clustering and replication •Comprehensive knowledge of underlying architecture of Microsoft SQL Server •Ability to debug and solve complex problems. •Superior oral and written communication skills •(MYSQL and DB2 experience is a plus) To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
