Here is a detailed job description:

The Hedge Fund manages over $10 billion in assets using a global, multi-strategy approach to market neutral investing. The firm has offices in Dallas, New York, London, as well as other locations throughout the world. The firm is specifically recognized for its stability (having been founded well over 10 years ago) and its positive culture/environment.

Investment Analyst
The Hedge Fund is currently searching for Analysts in both our equity and credit-related efforts to be based out of the Dallas headquarters. They are targeting top-ranked investment banking analysts, sell-side research associates, and post-banking buy-side professionals in private equity and hedge funds. The firm structure is relatively flat, team-oriented, and meritocratic; to that end, the individual’s level of past experience combined with intelligence and drive will determine his/her ability to progress and take on responsibilities.

Investment analysts are primarily responsible for valuing businesses with bottoms-up, fundamental analysis and detailed due diligence. Additionally, they will be responsible for understanding the dynamics (risk management, position sizing and timing, etc.) of the investment portfolio, working with outside parties (senior company management, sell-side analysts, etc.), assisting in the investigation and sourcing of investment opportunities, and learning about industry and legal considerations involved with investments.

Subject to the individual’s potential and capabilities, it is the firm's expectation that, over time, he/she will grow into Senior Analyst/Portfolio Manager who is able to generate profitable investment ideas. Given the Hedge Fund’s highly collaborative and collegial environment, this individual can also anticipate exposure to other investment areas (convertible bond arbitrage, private equity, reinsurance, volatility trading, private lending, etc.) within the Dallas office. Culturally, the firm seeks individuals who are not only exceptionally smart but who also possess a great personality.

Qualifications
- One to four years+ of total financial industry experience; outstanding undergraduate candidates may also be considered
- Currently a top-ranked investment banking analyst, sell-side research associate, or a post-banking private equity or hedge fund analyst
- Exceptional academic background; minimum GPA of 3.5
- Minimum combined SAT score of 1400; M SAT > 750

Desirable Traits
Personal
- Strong analytical and fundamental analysis skills
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- High degree of intelligence and solid judgment
- Eagerness to learn and high level of commercial instinct

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Relocation expenses, if applicable, will be provided.
