Genesis10 is in need of an ASP.Net Developer on a contract-to-hire basis for a major client in Plano, Texas. The developer will join our clients e-commerce team and create, maintain and optimize fully-functional e-commerce websites.
Responsibilities:
- Work with account management team to understand business requirements.
- Produce accurate project estimates.
- Perform unit testing and helping with QA testing Web Development.
- Implement dynamic, data-driven e-commerce websites.
- Collaborate with project managers and other developers to meet schedules and deliverables.
- Be comfortable working and making decisions as the sole developer on a project.
- Be comfortable working with classic ASP and Visual Basic 6, in addition to newer .NET technology.
Experience: Required Experience/Skills:
- Four-year college degree or equivalent.
- 5+ years experience web application development.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to write elegant, efficient and well documented code.
- Expert knowledge of Classic ASP and Visual Basic 6.
- Expert knowledge of database concepts, design and T-SQL with MS SQL Server 2005.
- Expert knowledge of ASP.NET, VB.NET and Visual Studio.
- Expert knowledge in HTML / CSS, DHTML, XML and web services.
- Object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity and adherence to web standards.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Experience building and maintaining e-commerce websites, including related technologies such as payment gateways, tax software providers, etc.
- Experience with source control and collaboration tools such as Subversion, Source Safe, MS Team Server, Sharepoint, etc.
- Experience with Flash and ActionScript.
- Experience with client-side Javascript.
- Experience in basic web design and Photoshop.
- Experience with iSeries (AS/400) and RPG ILE is a plus.
