Sr. Manager, Application Development for Professional Services
Primary Job Duties
Manage a group of 8-10 application developers delivering call center automation application solutions for external customers in a variety of industries
Responsible for maintaining target billable utilization rates by effectively managing developer resources while maintaining customer satisfaction
Works closely with other teams in professional services including project management, business development, VUI design, and quality assurance to ensure the on-time and in budget delivery of each project
Performs supervisory duties such as performance reviews, staffing for vacant positions, career development, etc.
Uses discretion to resolve issues of diverse and complex scope evaluating and analyzing all relevant factors in reaching a decision
Acts as an advisor to your staff to help resolve complex, technical issues
Build customer relationships and manage customer escalations
Review and provide input to professional services statement of work documents
Follow established processes and guidelines for application development and seeks opportunities to improve upon those processes to increase team performance, revenue potential, and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
•8 years delivering contact center automation solutions, 2 years in management
•Bachelors Degree
•Working knowledge of Java, vXML, or speech recognition strongly preferred
•General knowledge of management practices and procedures
•Strong technical background and experience leading a team of technical professionals
•Ability to understand and solve complex technical and management issues, using expertise of others as necessary.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization
•Detail oriented with solid problem solving skills
1.Thorough knowledge of standards based programming and programming methodologies, planning capabilities and cost effective practices and procedures required.
2.Requires working knowledge of software documentation, utilities, and Windows operating systems.
3.Working knowledge of vXML, Java, C#, C++ or 4th generation object-oriented programming language preferred.
