Instructional Desighner - 2138 in Dallas, TX
Instructional Designer Contractor Location: Dallas, TX - Duration: 3 months Start Date: ASAP Overview: The Instructional Designer position supports organizational learning and development initiatives through the design and development of blended learning programs. This position works in collaboration with the Manger of Organizational Effectiveness, operations stakeholders, quality assurance specialists, and the trainers to analyze the learning and performance needs, design and develop a training content, and define a maintenance plan for any content developed. Work Activities: New hire program - current deadlines set Responsible for planning, developing, organizing, writing, and editing instructor-led training content as well as storyboards for electronic learning modules Assist non-instructional designers in maintaining project time line Develops course objectives and design plan based on client needs assessment results Develops course content in Adobe FrameMaker using ADDIE methodology, and ensures content is supported with blended solutions, detailed training notes, activity instructions, job aids, role plays, and other such supporting information and necessary documents Assists in the development of communication plan for the course Communicate team status and reporting accomplishments to stakeholders as identified on regular basis Create new and revise existing, scenario-based assessment questions (initially in FrameMaker and eventually in Captivate Develops the learning assessments as well as Level 3 management perception survey Assist with creation of content based on standard operating procedures using FrameMaker 8 Works with existing trainers and technical writers to leverage existing training content and agenda, new SAP CRM content, and standard operating procedures as reference material in the new course Develops graphical content for the course material Conducts train-the-trainer sessions to support implementation of the new course, potentially may be called upon to teach segments of the new training content to for trainer support Create new Embedded activities to enrich learning Recommends electronic learning opportunities specific to cross-functional groups to support post-new hire learning Responsible for providing information to support the integration of the developed training content into our Sum Total learning management system Provides weekly status reports Requirements: Preferred 4 years experience in instructional design with technical writing focus Preferred excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including effectively communicating technical solutions in a non-technical way Preferred exceptional listening and analytical skills Must have existing skills in MS Word, Adobe FrameMaker 8, and TechSmith SnagIt Preferred strong computer skills including Captivate Preferred demonstrated success collaborating with subject matter experts and team members Preferred demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment Preferred dedication to providing exceptional customer service Preferred ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment that demands initiative and responsiveness Education: 4-year degree or related field or equivalent experience To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
