TSM Backup Administrator in Dallas, TX

This position is an excellent opportunity for a Tivoli Storage Manager Administrator to Administer TSM for a large operations department for one of our leading clients. In this role you will be focused on TSM backup services. Responsibilities will include setting up new TSM clients for backup by TSM, identifying problems, upgrading software as required and opening problems with IBM Tivoli when problems arise to get complete resolution and understand the root cause. You will work with Wintel and UNIX System Engineers to identify problems with backups and restores and assist with TSM related questions. 3 years of hands-on Tivoli Storage Manager Administration including TSM Backup experience is required. Strong knowledge of CIFS, NFS, and ISCSI disk technologies product is preferred. Other desired experience includes: NDMP configuration on NAS; UNIX Shell or Perl Scripting, TSM Reporter, TSM Disaster Recovery, Cisco Switches and AIX. You must have the ability to collaborate with other support teams to troubleshoot complex incidents while adhering to strict quality and change management policy and processes.
