Job Responsibilities:
This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of Dell Perot Systems healthcare clients. In this role you will sit onsite at the client facility in Dallas and engage with vendors, hospital management, and corporate leadership to drive support initiatives, implement process improvements, and act as the escalation endpoint for any of the Legacy Clinical Systems in use throughout the gamut of hospitals.
**The ideal candidate will possess the required skills, will live within a commutable distance to Dallas, Texas and will be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
Job Responsibilities:
This role will help oversee the support of the clinical applications at the various hospitals; provide both tactical and strategic planning for hospital based clinical systems; assist with budget creation and reviews; manage third party vendor relationships and contracts; and own all related escalations at the corporate/executive level.
Technical knowledge and expertise required for this position includes integration/interface knowledge, hardware integration issue management, software issue management and solution design related to third party applications. Candidate will be responsible for driving troubleshooting efforts for particular application issues which have serious high profile impact such as patient safety, regulatory or HIPAA concerns.
The qualified candidate will possess clinical applications knowledge combined with a strong understanding of hospital operations, and some level of familiarity with the different clinical vendor systems.
The work environment for this position is fast paced and requires the candidate to have excellent multi-tasking capabilities. The qualified candidate must have a track record of taking responsibility for tasks and seeing them to fruition with little direction and oversight.
Required Skills:
3+ years experience in Clinical Applications Support
Must have HL7 and interface Integration experience
General knowledge of IT infrastructure
3 years experience in managing vendor relationships
Strong customer relationship, interpersonal, and team building skills at a senior level
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated leadership skills
Vendor Management experience

Healthcare experience
